Daughters and Dads Active and Empowered – Austria

Daughters and Dads Active and Empowered is an internationally award-winning, community-based sports program from Australia, developed by Prof. Phil Morgan at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales.
The project trains fathers in positive lifestyles and effective parenting strategies that improve their daughters' physical activity and sporting behavior, self-confidence, athletic ability and social-emotional well-being.
The vision of the project is to increase girls' self-esteem, health and mobility through playful sporting activities.
DADAE takes place in the gym of GTVS 13 (Steinlechnergasse 5/7, 1130) on Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- April 1 (Dads only – without daughters)
- April 8th
- April 22nd
- April 29th
- May 6th
- May 13th
- May 20th
- May 27th
- June 10th
The evaluation of the project is carried out by the University of Vienna.
